Tracy Morgan on Comedy Awards 2012 9 P.M. Tonight On Comedy Central
Tracy Morgan presented the award for Best Sketch/Alternative Comedy Series at the Comedy Central 2nd Annual Comedy Awards Show at The Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, airing tonight at 9 P.M. on Comedy Central.
Tracy opened with the announcement that he’s quitting show business to join The Secret Service, so he could get to party with some hookers!
The nominees were Rob Corddry’s Children’s Hospital on Adult Swim, Louis CK’s “Louie” on FX, Fred Armisen’s “Portlandia” on IFC,created and produced by Jon Krisel, who I recently had the pleasure of working with while filming Nick Kroll’s upcoming show on Comedy Central out in LA, NBC’s iconic SNL in it’s 37th year, and Daniel Tosh’s TOSH.0 on Comedy Central.
The winner was Louis CK for his show “Louie”, for which he writes, directs and produces. I was there covering the red carpet. After the winners were announced they came to the press room and Louie seemed sort of embarrassed after having won four awards. He’s actually a very humble guy, and joked that he didn’t even think his show fit into that category!
